About the Author
James Ozenberger has been an annual summer visitor to the Bighorn Mountain area for over thirty-five years. The history of the area, specifically the tie flume and the town of Rockwood, intrigued him on his first visit. He composed this story over several years, adding more historical details as they were uncovered from local residents and reference material. James retired from teaching and is currently living on his farm in Missouri. He enjoys fly fishing, and it was this sport that first drew him to the mountains. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He and his late wife, Barbara, enjoyed fifty years of marriage before her death. |
